Thank you for stopping by Sarah Porter Photography. Though there is just one name in our company title we are a husband and wife team located in Northern Colorado that travels worldwide to document the rugged and refined moments.

Hello! I’m Sarah and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer and I document the rugged and refined moments in the natural world and the urban wilderness with over 6 years of experience.

Photographs are timeless expressions of emotional moments we can’t describe in words. I’m constantly inspired by the unspoken moments shared in deep connection between two people completely immersed  in love. And it’s my passion to express these moments in their authenticity, elegance, and unbridled romanticism. I believe there’s so much beauty that exists in between moments we notice, unposed and vulnerable. These are the moments I would love to help you capture in your story.

I’m a Colorado girl to the core and the mountains have my heart, and I’m also drawn to the complex commotion in cities and the incredible architecture that makes them so special.

My photography is inspired by my years of travel. I was deeply moved by seeing the epic mountain ranges in Austria, the aged brilliance of Rome’s architecture, the serene contemplation of Lake Como, the hum and bustle of London, and the vibrant stretches of Salzburg. These are experiences that I’ve carried with me and they continue to drive my passion to capture these powerful moments in my client’s stories.

I love playing and reading with my two amazing boys. And when I’m not traveling and exploring the remote Colorado wilderness with my incredible husband and partner in crime, preparing for a half-marathon and some light interior design, I’m experimenting with my other love of coffee and its different brewing techniques.

My amazing husband Jerry is equal parts photographer, backup security, and Colorado landmark encyclopedia at your wedding. He doesn’t fit into any kind of category and that’s what makes him so special. The outdoors call his name, especially when it involves grilling and sitting on the patio with a drink. Aside from sharing our mutual love of coffee, travel and cooking, he spends his free time with our sons and helps with the compassion and thrill-seeking departments for them. He helps bring balance to messes, business, and life in general.

We would love to help capture your authentic and meaningful moments of joy and celebration. We’re available for local and international weddings. We’re looking forward to talking to you and hearing your unique story.
